Photographic proof of this one above – finger still poised on one of the toys! This was also with Rhys and her 3 cousins playing pretty loudly all around her.
Hoovering.
Both Rhys and Nerys have slept quite happily in the moses basket in the lounge while I’ve hoovered right up to the edge of the basket. I can sort of understand this one, as the hoover is a kind of white noise I suppose, which babies tend to like. But it’s a pretty loud white noise when it’s right by your head!
The smoke alarm going off.
Rhys was napping on the sofa one day a fair while ago, and whatever I was attempting to cook had set the smoke alarm off. I dashed into the lounge to make it stop and fully expected Rhys to have woken up. Nope. He was still flat out. Bit worrying really!
The Eurofighter Typhoon.
Have you ever heard one of these things?! We were at the Swansea bay air show when Rhys was a few months old and one of these was taking part. It was seriously one of the loudest planes ever! And Rhys slept through the whole display. Unbelievable.
Are your children light sleepers or can they sleep through anything?!

So funny – I have similar jumperoo photos ! I love it #TheList
That’s so funny, must be something about jumperoos that sends them to sleep! x
Haha, I always wanted a jumperoo sleeping shot! #TheList
I am glad I grabbed the camera to get this photo! x
Don’t you just love a sleeping jumperoo shot. I have hundreds between my three! Luckily my boys also sleep through most things, apart from being disturbed by each other! x
So funny, seems like most babies with jumperoos end up falling asleep in them at some point! I’m sure my two are tuned into each other, Nerys definitely stirs when Rhys makes noise! x
N will sleep through a lot. When he was a newborn, I was trying Gina Ford, and was meant to wake him. Except I couldn’t. I had on music full blast, stripped him off to his vest and stood with him at the open front door (in January). But he wasn’t going to wake up.
Now he’s still pretty good at sleeping through things, but he is very good at waking up at 5am when the OH gets up and goes out for work. V annoying because he’s then up for the day.
Mind you, I’m the one who sleeps through everything. Storms, music, weaning calves out in the field, and the smoke alarm. Really not helpful!
Haha, your comment has made me smile! You’ve got to love when they decide to start their day at 5am haven’t you, lol! Love that about your son as a newborn, goes to show that some babies just won’t be Gina Forded! x
my boys would sleep through anything when they were babies. The difficulty now is getting them to go to sleep #weekendbloghop
Ah yeah, getting them to go to sleep in the first place is a whole different ball game! x
My children seem able to sleep through everything but the night!
Hahaha, yeah we have very few nights when both my two sleep through! x
hahahaha! My big girl will sleep through most stuff but the little one wakes if a pin drops.

That’s so funny how different they can be! x
No fair!! Mine was definitely not one for falling asleep with things going on around him, it had to be a dark room for nap times! Hilarious post and the jumperoo photo is just adorable! Thanks for linking up to #TheList xx
Haha, we do struggle with the falling asleep part, but once they’re asleep they’re pretty out of it! x
