I wrote yesterday about how the seemingly ‘nothing’ days often end up being the best days, and I really do believe that to be true. I mean, obviously the BIG days are amazing, the fun trips out with the kids, the excitement of going somewhere new.
But I think, when I look back on these days, remembering when my children were small, I think it’s more likely to be these ‘nothing’ days that I will think of most fondly.
Those little moments with my family, cwtched up on the sofa watching a disney film, seeing Nerys copy the signing on Something Special, marvelling at Rhys’ growing creativity as he makes figures with his play dough.
Those little things really are the big things. They’re what life is really all about.

I love this quote, it epitomizes parenting! It’s often only when we look back that we realize just how big the ‘small stuff’ actually was!
It really does epitomize parenting doesn’t it! x
Oh this quote always makes me teary eyed. It is so true, and as mamas we tend to forget that our babies are growing up so quick. Sometimes I spend more time worrying about making money when really I need to be focusing on loving on my babies and watching them grow. <3 thanks for sharing
It’s a really juggling act though, isn’t it, parenting! x
This is a lovely quote Madeline. Sometimes we focus on big things which are little and miss the little ones which are big!
Also I know this is nothing to do with the quote but I love coming to this blog and seeing your lovely smile on the side bar! It is infectious and makes me smile. xx

Ahh, Angela that’s so nice of you to say! Glad to make you smile, and so nice to know you like coming here! x
I linked this one up a few weeks ago, it is one of my favourites x
Haha, great minds think alike hey! x
It’s the truth! I look back on my childhood, and I can remember the big events. But many of my most treasured memories are afternoons playing board games or running through the sprinkler. I guess you just never know which days are going to stick with you, so we must always pay attention! Thanks so much for linking up with #candidcuddles!
Very true, it’s all about paying attention and enjoying the big and the small things! x
This really is true – especially when it comes to kiddies. The little things are what we look back on & remember fondly! Thanks so much for sharing with #candidcuddles x
I really do think it’s those little moments I’ll really remember fondly! x
I love this quote because it is life! Today we went blackberry picking and it was wonderful. We didn’t go on some grand outing or spend money. Then we came back and made blackberry and apple crumble which we had for pudding. Things like this are what make life good 🙂 #candidcuddles
Sounds like a fab day! x
